The historic Orangery has become one of Cornwall’s most exclusive wedding venues, Voted in the top three wedding venues in Cornwall nestled in 865 acres of land, steeped in heritage and surrounded by pebbled beaches and coastline. This breath taking setting and enchanting venue will provide the perfect canvas for your dream wedding reception


The 100ft Orangery was built in 1775 and basks in elegance and beauty with its floor to ceiling windows and doors offering magical views of the water fountain and Italian gardens. The Orangery has a capacity of 200 guests and can offer seating for as little as 40 guests to as many as 120.

Dining can be set formal with our 7ft round tables and white table linens or informal with our large rectangular wooden tables. The dance floor, band area and DJ are set at the opposite end of the Orangery, so the venue flawlessly transcends into evening without interruption. Your guests can party at one end and relax at the other.


If you wish you can escape to the Italian garden and sip Pimms and lemonade in the sunshine or toast champagne under the stars, the Italian garden is yours for the duration and offers gorgeous outdoor heart shaped metal seating for up to 50 guests.

Brunch, Lunch and Afternoon tea.

Open all year round daily from 10.30am to 4pm, The Orangery offers an all-day menu covering brunch, lunch and afternoon teas.


Whether you are planning a family day out at Mount Edgcumbe or a delicious lunch with a bottle of wine, The Orangery simply caters for all. From coffee and homemade cakes to brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. They have a fantastic menu which offers a good choice of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options and I am pleased to say all of the food at the Orangery is homemade in house and sourced locally.


Brunch is served till 3pm, lunches are served from 12pm till 3pm and Orangery treats: cream tea, afternoon tea and a selection of cakes and ice creams are served until close. 

You can even add a little sparkle to your day with a glass of Prosecco or choose a beverage from their fantastic range of wines, local beers, ciders, ales and spirits. Their menus are available on their website at

For the little ones:

There is a perfect range of children’s dishes and they serve a great selection of Callestick Farm Cornish ice cream which is by far one of the UK, s leading ice creams.

For your four legged friends the Orangery give away free treats and they even sell Cowlick doggy ice cream!

The Orangery has a great range of fair-trade tea and organic coffee. New to the Orangery is their refreshing iced coffee. You can have any iced coffee you fancy from a cappuccino to a flat white and they are delicious.

The Sunday roast are outstanding at The Orangery and extremely popular.

Serving local seasonal meat (gluten free if required) and a homemade vegetarian nut roast to die for. Along with all of the dishes at the Orangery, it is cooked fresh on the day and served straight from the oven (no carvery here). This makes a huge difference when it comes to taste and quality which is always a given at The Orangery.

Do be sure to call and book your table for Sunday lunch and reserve your roast as is often fully booked.

An absolute must to try is The Orangery Gourmet Burger, homemade succulent beef burger, topped with aged cheddar and bacon in a lightly toasted brioche bun and served with roasted tomato chutney, mini gherkins and hand cut chips.

Hard to resist, the cream and afternoon teas are the perfect accompaniment for such elegant surroundings. Add a glass of Prosecco to top off the experience and allow the excellent staff to cater for your every whim.
