The Boathouse Summer Seafood

Situated on Plymouth’s waterfront, The Boathouse seafood restaurant is now open for dining inside, with some mouth-watering additions to the summer menu.

The Boathouse’s speciality is local fish and shellfish, sustainably caught, by its own fleet of inshore day boats. The specials menu varies, depending on the catch that day, but it’s guaranteed to be caught locally and cooked to perfection. Boathouse firm favourites include succulent grilled sardines, with tomato and basil bruschetta, perfect washed down with a cold glass of Muscadet or local cuttlefish calamari in seasoned flour, deep fried and served with creamy aioli.

The Scallop Shack serves the freshest pan-fried scallops cooked in a variety of mouth-watering ways. If you can’t decide which one to go for, try the Shack Attack sharing platter featuring all the flavours!

For the meat lovers, new to the menu, The Boathouse Surf and Turf is not to be missed, juicy sirloin steak, served with scallops, spinach, vine tomatoes and chips. Vegetarians and vegans will find delicious dishes on the menu and Little Nipper’s meals are specially designed for younger salty sea dogs – all made with fresh, seasonal produce.

Overlooking the Mayflower Steps, with wonderful harbour views, there’s always plenty to see on the water from The Boathouse as we enjoy coming back together for great food.
