Set within 300 acres of historic deer park on the banks of the River Exe, Powderham Castle is the home of Charlie and AJ, The Earl and Countess of Devon, and their children, Jos and Jack. With breath-taking grounds to explore, and 600 years of history to discover, Powderham truly is a place for all ages to treasure.
Built in 1391, the castle boasts majestic state rooms, fascinating stories and over 600 years of history. Powderham has been a Grade I listed building since 1952 and is recognised as an internationally important structure.
Powderham underwent extensive renovations and additions in the Georgian and Victorian periods, and the castle’s evolution from medieval to modern can be seen throughout.
