Get on, in or near the water with the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre this summer! 


There’s a huge range of land and water based activities you can enjoy at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre this summer. From sailing to stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking to half day adventures for all the family, to simply enjoying a drink and a treat at our newly located The Lookout, there’s something for everyone at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre.

Fun for all the family!

We’ve got two family fun half day adventures to choose from here at the Centre: Kayak and Giant Paddleboard and Stand Up Paddleboarding. Whichever you choose for your family we guarantee you’ll get wet, have fun and make memories!

Kayak and Giant Paddleboard (minimum age 7+ with an accompanying and participating adult): Using our fun larger kayaks, you’ll team up and paddle off on a short exploration of the local area, with fun games and challenges to complete along the way, whilst also learning the basics of kayaking. Then it’s all aboard one of our giant paddleboards for fun and games that are sure to be wet and wild!

Stand Up Paddleboarding (minimum age 11+): An introduction to Stand Up Paddleboard for the family! You’ll learn some basic SUP skills and have a chance to take part in plenty of board games and challenges using a mix of single SUPs and our giant multi-person paddleboards.

Half Day Adventures for ages 8 to 15!

For the younger adventurers, the Centre hosts a range of Half Day Adventures for ages 8 to 15 (adventures are split for age ranges 8-11 years and 11-15 years) during the school holidays – half day adventures include bellboating, giant paddleboard and soft archery, climbing and seashore explore, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and inflatable rafts and soft archery. The Centre provides all essential equipment and fun, lots of fun! Half day adventures are £32.50 per person (or two people for £60).

The Lookout

Perhaps you’re enjoying walking the South West Coast Path or the Mount Batten peninsula this summer – fantastic, the Centre is situated right on the coast path. Visit The Lookout (open daily) and sit in and enjoy, or take-away, a selection of hot and cold drinks, and a wide variety of sweet and savoury treats.

The Centre are proud to have recently been awarded Gold as one of Plymouth's Plastic Free Pioneers and are continually working hard to reduce, and remove, single use plastic.
